So Thoughtful.....

I just wanted to give a shout out to my husband for being so thoughtful and starting my morning with a smile! When I woke up and went to the bathroom, this is what I saw on the bathroom counter.....

Birthday Pictures.....

I thought I would post some birthday pictures. My b-day was July 30 and I had a great day! I got to see a lot of my family. My Aunt Billie made me a chocolate chip cake (Yummy!) and the next night we got an ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins. One of the pictures, Mary Elizabeth is sporting her new "bling" that she got from my Aunt Billie. Brock is playing with his new darts and Mitchell and I posed for a quick picture.
Not a whole lot has been going on lately, so I haven't had anything to blog about. I've just been enjoying reading everyone else's. We've been doing our same routine. Mitchell leaves for work around 6:50 and gets home between 8:00-8:30. That makes for a LONG day for both of us. I know he stays very tired. He's out in this heat every afternoon at football practice. I don't know how they do it?
We went for a play date with Kristy(Max & Kate's mom; also the head coaches wife) on Monday. We had a really good time! The kids always enjoy getting together with them. On Friday, we have "Family Night" with the football team and their families. After practice, everyone goes up to the school and we have a big cookout. The coaches, players, cheerleaders, and all their families are introduced. It's a lot of fun and a great way to meet everyone. I'll try and take some pictures to share with you. Well, I better go. It's funny how I had nothing to blog about, but managed to write about 2 paragraphs! Ha I have a million things to do before church tonight. Gotta go....

New Arrival!!!

My brother, Keith, and his wife, Lindsey, welcomed a new baby girl to their family! Her name is Zoe Machelle Harris. She weighed 7lbs. 14oz and was 21 1/2 inches long.
She was born at 8:oo AM. Mommy and baby are doing great! She has a "proud" big brother named Kade. I think she looks a lot like Keith. I want to get a hold of those chubby cheeks! This makes 5 grandchildren for my parents (Nana and PawPaw). The funny thing is, that the oldest (Brock) is 3 1/2 years old. That's a lot of grandchildren in that short of time!
I imagine a lot of you are wondering why I wasn't in Arkansas for the birth. The hospital where she delivered doesn't allow small children in the patients rooms and it would be tooooooo crazy for me to take my wild indians to the waiting room! I plan to go up there in a week or two, when things settle down a bit and Lindsey is feeling a better. I can't wait!!!
When I showed the pictures of Zoe to Brock and Mary Elizabeth, they asked if we could go and pick baby Zoe up from the hospital and bring her to our house. I though that was cute! God is so good!

Go Arab Knights!!!

Today we had our pictures taken with Mitchell on the football field. Might I add that I thought I was going to die of a heat stroke! The pictures were taken around 3:30 when the temperature was 101. I know this because someone called to see what the temp. really was. I felt so sorry for my kids. Their cheeks were sooooooo red and you could feel the heat coming off of them. As soon as the pictures were taken, Mitchell took us up to the field house to cool of in the AC (special thanks goes out to whoever invented the air conditioner!!). Mitchell got one of his BIG defensive players to come and take a picture with Brock. He was so excited!! but nervous while taking the picture. Oh, Braxton's shirt was hard to read so I'll tell you what it said. Mitchell came up with it....it said D-Line (which stands for Defensive Line). We thought it fit our "little" chunky monkey!
I really wasn't too happy about the family picture on the field, so when we got home, I tried to take a few pics of the kids.
The other two children in one of the pictures belong to the head coach. The little girl is 6 weeks older than Braxton. Their names are Max and Kate.

We're back Again..........

We made it back to Arab Sunday night around 8:00. We made several stops along the way. We had a really great time seeing family! I got to see Liz Wakefield at church and Leah Hunt at Target (who would have thought we would get to see each other?) I was really happy to see a couple of my friends! I miss you guys!!!
We took a few pictures (of course) while we were there. Some are of my nieces and nephew.
Mitchell started back to work today. He had teacher meetings all morning, came home for a quick lunch, and off to football practice. He didn't get home until 7:45. It's going to take me a while to get used to being alone with the kids again. I've been spoiled this summer having Mitchell around. He's been a HUGE help!! Also, we've done a lot of traveling and had lots of help wherever we went.
I'm trying to be positvie about not getting to see Mitchell but a few hours a week from now until November (or whenever football ends) but some days I know it will be hard. I'm not trying to throw a "pity party" because I know things could be a lot worse, I guess it just helps me to talk about it.
Brock had a rough day potty training. He did #2 in his big boy underwear twice today. I don't understand?? Some days he will go all day long with no accident and today he messed twice (this is the first time he's gone in his underwear). Mary Elizabeth is potty trained and 10 1/2 months younger than him. Can someone tell me what to do or have any suggestions????!!! HELP!
Tomorrow is picture day for the football team. I took the kids up there last year and we got to have our picture made with Mitchell on the football field. It was really neat but the best part is they are FREE pictures for us. So, I will be taking the kids up there tomorrow by 3:00 to get our family picture made. I'm going to take my camera and have someone snap a few shots. I'll try and send some pictures tomorrow. I better stop blogging and go to bed. Until next time.........

Returning Home and Leaving Again...

We just got home from Arkansas Wednesday night around 8:00. It really seemed like a long trip this time, for some reason?!! We spent all day yesterday running errands, mailing off bills, and the wonderful Wal-Mart trip (might I add, that it was CRAZY!). First thing when we got there, Braxton had a bad stinky diaper. So, I went to change him while Mitchell took the other two, the grocery list, and began shopping (I was a little nervous about that). He did a really good job, though.
It took me forever to finally get Braxton changed. We had to wait on someone to come out of the family bathroom (they were cleaning the ladies restroom). While I was changing his diaper, I had to be very still and remain in one position or the hand dryer would start blowing and would scare Braxton (screaming crying). I know everyone outside was wondering what was going on. I don't know why they put the dryer that close to the changing station?? Anyway, it's funny when I look back on it now. After all that, I headed over to the baby section to get Braxton some baby food. I heard the faint sound of a little girl crying, then my phone started to ring. It was Mitchell, he said Mary Elizabeth had been crying for me the whole time, which made me feel horrible! Anyway, she settled down when she saw me. There's always something.......I guess it would be very boring if things like this didn't happen! We had a good day, though.
Today I am packing for our weekend trip to Montgomery. Mitchell's family has their annual reunion on Saturday at Dalraida C of C. Mitchell had to work a little today, so I have to be packed and ready to go by the time he gets home......but what am I doing??? Blogging!! Ha I am looking forward to seeing Mitchell's parents and all my nieces and nephew. We will be going to church at Dalraida Sunday morning then coming back home after we eat lunch. That's about all the happenings with us. I'll post a few pictures taken in Arkansas. The kids had a great time playing in Nana and PawPaw's ditch. It had rained a lot that day. The little boy in the picture is my nephew Kade (my brother, Keith's little boy). They were so muddy and dirty that we put them in the tub. They always have such a great time when they're together! Until next time........
