We made it back to Arab Sunday night around 8:00. We made several stops along the way. We had a really great time seeing family! I got to see Liz Wakefield at church and Leah Hunt at Target (who would have thought we would get to see each other?) I was really happy to see a couple of my friends! I miss you guys!!!
We took a few pictures (of course) while we were there. Some are of my nieces and nephew.
Mitchell started back to work today. He had teacher meetings all morning, came home for a quick lunch, and off to football practice. He didn't get home until 7:45. It's going to take me a while to get used to being alone with the kids again. I've been spoiled this summer having Mitchell around. He's been a HUGE help!! Also, we've done a lot of traveling and had lots of help wherever we went.
I'm trying to be positvie about not getting to see Mitchell but a few hours a week from now until November (or whenever football ends) but some days I know it will be hard. I'm not trying to throw a "pity party" because I know things could be a lot worse, I guess it just helps me to talk about it.
Brock had a rough day potty training. He did #2 in his big boy underwear twice today. I don't understand?? Some days he will go all day long with no accident and today he messed twice (this is the first time he's gone in his underwear). Mary Elizabeth is potty trained and 10 1/2 months younger than him. Can someone tell me what to do or have any suggestions????!!! HELP!
Tomorrow is picture day for the football team. I took the kids up there last year and we got to have our picture made with Mitchell on the football field. It was really neat but the best part is they are FREE pictures for us. So, I will be taking the kids up there tomorrow by 3:00 to get our family picture made. I'm going to take my camera and have someone snap a few shots. I'll try and send some pictures tomorrow. I better stop blogging and go to bed. Until next time.........

Those are great pictures! I know what you mean about having Mitchell around. Last week, having Scott off work, was so fun. I love it when he is home with us. I love the extra help! K
I was so glad to see you guys too! Don't worry about the potty training...it will come. I think little boys just get too busy and forget sometimes. I wish I had a "end all accidents" pill, I'd send one to you and give the other to Hayes!!
Hey! I found your blog through Leah's. I completely understand the life of a football coaches wife! Terry started 2-a-days yesterday and has teacher's meetings in between. He left the house at 5:45am and returns home around 7:45pm...oh the price of hopeful victory! =) I've really enjoyed reading your blog!

It was good to see you too. I will pray for you this fall. I know that has got to be hard. I had a little taste of it when Brian helped coach at ACA. My philosopy on potty training is a simple one, "wait until they are ready". they might be four, but they will be trained. Just kidding! I wish there was a cut and dry way to do it. I will be starting with Luke in the next few months. Yea!!!
As bad as this sounds, we ended up having to give Ian "cold showers" when he would have an accident. It wasn't a full body shower, but we would strip him down, put him in the tub and rinse him off from the waist down with cold water. He HATED it...the first day it happened about 5 times, the second day only 2 times, and after that never more than once a day...most days not at all. Our doctor had suggested it because Ian's was a matter of will rather than not being ready to be trained...
