We went to our first football game this year on Friday night. It was away at Scottsboro. My brother-in-law and father-in-law went with me. It was about a 45 minute drive (not too bad). The team played a GREAT game but couldn't pull out a victory.:( They lost 28-23. It was one of those games that was exciting the whole time. You never knew what was going to happen next. Scottsboro had recently played Guntersville (Gunter. won the state championship last year in our division) and beat them. So, I guess you could say we are fairly good this year. The defense played the best game they've played in the past few years (they must have an AWESOME coach who really knows what he's doing :) Go Mitchell!). The kids had a great time! The first half, they ran around and played football and also played in the dirt. Mary Elizabeth got to wear her new cheerleader uniform to the game. She was so excited! I wasn't too excited when she wanted to play in the dirt, but I guess it will all come clean. The second half, we had the kids take a break, eat a snack, and watch Toy Story. The head coaches wife, Kristy, brought the DVD player, which was a huge hit! The kids looked so cute, I had to take a picture. Below is how they are sitting: Mary Elizabeth, Max (head coaches son), Harrison (his dad is one of the offensive coaches), Brock, and sitting is, Ella (her dad is the junior high principal), and I don't know the other little boys name. His dad went to Faulkner and played on the basketball team. His name is Ferron(sp?) Key. He is the Varsity Boys Basketball coach. All the kids have a really good time playing together.
Our next game is at home on Friday. We play Southside. I hope we win! I will try and take some pictures.
We didn't do too much this weekend. Mitchell had to work on football Sat. from 8-2. So we took naps that afternoon and stayed around the house. We went to church on Sun. went out to eat, then Wal-Mart, and Mitchell had to go back to work at 1:30. He didn't get home until 7:30, but the kids and I were at church. It was kinda rough taking all three to church by myself, but I survived. Mitchell had to be at work by 6:00 this morning (Mon.) for coaches meetings and then there's a Jr. Varsity game tonight he has to stay for. I think we might try to go for a little bit of the game. Needless to say, we've been a little busy. This week we have something everyday. I don't know how often I'll get to blog.
This Saturday (15th) Mary Elizabeth will turn 3!! I can't believe three years have already gone by. Time really does fly!! I have to decide what we are going to do for her party.
Hope everyone has a GREAT week!! Oh, and ROLL TIDE!!

Sounds like an exhausting, but fun weekend. All the kids look so cute. I remember the Key guy...I think he was already married when he was at Faulkner.
