This and that.....

I wanted to thank all of you for your thoughtful comments and prayers! Our family had a rough Thanksgiving! We had van trouble on the drive up to Arkansas. It was our transmission. So, we left our van in Decatur and drove a rent-a-car the rest of the trip(and might I add, we were packed in the little Dodge Journey). We were really lucky to even get that! While we were in the middle of loading all our luggage to our rent-a-car, I got the call about my grandpa. While in Arkansas, all three kids got the stomach virus and the day we returned home, Mitchell got it. We're hoping for a GREAT Christmas. Again, thank you for your prayers! This event has taught me never to take for granted the time you have with loved ones!!

A Sudden Loss.....

My grandpa passed away on Tuesday. We were on our way to Arkansas for Thanksgiving when I got the call. It was very sudden and the doctors seem to think it was congestive heart failure. He was 89 years old. Please keep my family in your prayers. This was my dad's dad.
This picture was taken last Christmas. I'm glad I've got it!

I'm thankful for all the memories I have with him and that he was a Christian.

New Project....

Below is a new project mom and I worked on while I was here. I thought it turned out very cute for our first time to ever make something like this. It only cost us $4.00 (shirt included)!!....that's what really excites me!!

We're still having a great time here but really missing Daddy!! We stayed around the house on Tuesday and that night went to a volleyball game. Wednesday, we did a little more shopping and got my grandma so she could spend the last couple of days with us. We went to church and made a Wal-Mart run. I can't sleep because we all wanted coffee when we got home. I drank a cup and now I can't sleep....still at 1:20AM!! Anyway, below are some pictures we took today before we left. The kids are standing in front of the front door of my parents house. Oh, BTW, I got a wreath today just like my parents have. I'm so excited to get home and hang it on my door. Another thing, I got my hair cut the same day M.E. did. I got around 8 inches cut off. I really like it but I do miss my long hair....and I think Braxton misses it too! He has to have my hair to go to sleep.



Tomorrow (Thurs.) we are planning on going to the pumpkin patch. My brother and his family will be meeting us there. It's going to be lots of fun!! I'm sure I'll have pictures to share. Then we head home on Friday to see Daddy!!! Yea!!!

Balloons...

We had another packed day! We did some shopping and decided to eat supper at Ta Molly's Mexican Restaurant. It was so delicious (I love mexican food!) but the best part was the balloon man! He could make anything!! He's been making balloon animals, etc. for about 15 years now.

Anyway, it was good eating and entertainment!! I think we're going to the pumpkin patch on Thursday with my brother and his family. I'm really looking forward to that! Hope everyone has a great week!

My brother, Keith and his family came over and went to church with us tonight. After church, we went back to mom and dad's to have some yummy Papa John's pizza and brownie's & blue bell ice cream for dessert!! LOVE THAT MEAL!!
We had a great visit and it made me wish we lived closer to everyone.

Fun, Fun, Fun....

We went to the Crowley's Ridge Nature Center on Saturday. We had a really good time and it was very educational. Here are a few pictures.

We're in Arkansas! This was the first trip, for me. All.By.Myself.WITH ALL 3 KIDS.
I can't believe I did it!! It wasn't bad at all!! The only time we stopped was for about 10min. and that was to get a little gas. The kids were great!!
I had to get a pic of this! ME had her new black boops(as she calls them) on running around Nana & PawPaw's this morning. I had to get a pic!

Catching up....

So, it's been a while!! We've been busy with school and football games. I haven't talked any about the ballgames because we haven't won a single game. So, that' all I have to say about that.
Brock is still loving Pre-K and has made several friends. Fall break is next week and we are headed to Arkansas. We'll leave a little early so we can have a full week up there. CAN'T WAIT!! I'm having withdrawls....it's been since July....can you belive I've stayed away that long???!!!
With much thought, we decided to take ME out of preschool. She was having a hard time with it, so she will start next year. I just don't think she was ready.
I decided to cut her hair as you can see in the pic above. I've always wanted to cut it that short but was too chicken to do it. I'm so glad I did! I love it and she does too!!
Braxton is growing bigger everyday. He weighs over 27lbs. now and is talking a lot. I can't believe our baby is almost 19 months old!!!
Well, I guess that catches you up on everything. Oh, I almost forgot....ME had her
4th birthday on September 15. We had a party for all her little friends. She got some cute gifts and I think everyone had a great time! I'll try and post pics later.
We are having internet issues again and that's why I haven't been a regular blogger. I'll try to be a better blogger.
