Family Bible School--Night #2

We had another great night of FBS! The children learned about Jonah and the big fish (Whale). Mitchell and I are in charge of the 3rd and 4th grade. They rotate classes and we make sure they get to where they are going and don't get into any trouble. Monday night we had 19 in class; Last night we had 21. We have a really good time being around them. It also helps us to get to know everyone a little better. The theme for the FBS is Under the Sea. The entrance to the church building and all through the hallways are completely covered with blue paper and fish. It's really neat! Brock asked me Monday night(as I was walking him to class) if we were underneath the water? I kinda laughed and said yes, during FBS we are.
One station they have is face painting. Mary Elizabeth didn't want her face painted, but opted to paint her hand. She had them paint Nemo and blue bubbles going up to the top of the water (because we are in the water! Ha). Brock wouldn't dare get anything painted. He can't stand being dirty or having anything like paint on him. Maybe he will grow out of it. I'm sending a couple of pictures I took last night of the entrance to the church building (it certainly does not do it justice; the lights were turned on). There are some girls in one of the pictures. The two smaller ones were in Mitchell's PE class at school. They love playing with Mary Elizabeth. I'm looking forward to tonight. I don't know who is more excited....the kids, or me!
In case you are wondering, I did have a better day yesterday. Mitchell was home all day and it was not as chaotic. It rained most of the day, but we still let the kids go out and play. Mitchell and I sat in the garage and watched them. They had the best time! Well, that's all for now. I have to start getting things together and get ready before everyone wakes up. Until next time........

Hey Liz! I just found your blog through Leah's. Funny how many people you can reconnect with on these things! Your children are beautiful. Three...I'm impressed! One is kicking my butt. HA! :) I do love it, though.

Look forward to reading more...

Hey Liz, it was so good to hear from you! This blog stuff is addictive, huh? Your kids are soooo precious! I can't believe your little one is 4 months already. I will add you to my favorite blogs as well. We'll have to keep in touch. Tell Mitchell we said "hello".
